Overland Park and Johnson County
The Kansas side of the metro carries as much corporate office space as downtown does. We photograph on site in it, at Corporate Woods, at Aspiria, and out along College Boulevard.
Downtown Kansas City
The towers on Main, the Power and Light District, the Crossroads lofts and Crown Center. Four different rooms to photograph in, one standard across them. We work on site in whichever one your team sits in.
Where Kansas City teams actually sit
Almost every session happens on site, in your own building. Knowing the room before I arrive is part of what keeps the day on schedule.
The downtown financial district
Main, Walnut and Grand inside the loop, where the Class A towers stand: One Kansas City Place, 1111 Main, and the Art Deco Power and Light Building that held the skyline for half a century. Banking, insurance regulation and the big engineering headquarters sit within a few blocks of each other.
The Power and Light District and Crown Center
H&R Block anchors one, Hallmark the other. Two of the most recognizable corporate addresses in the city, both with lobbies and public spaces that photograph well when a team wants something other than a conference room.
The Crossroads
The design side of the city. Advertising, architecture and studio firms in converted warehouse space, including a good share of the metro's creative agencies. Brick, north light and freight elevators, which is a gift for environmental portraits.
Country Club Plaza
Law and wealth management, five miles south of downtown. Polsinelli, Husch Blackwell and a long list of advisory firms work out of the Plaza towers. Spanish tile and arcades outside if anyone wants to step out of the building.
Corporate Woods and the Kansas side
Overland Park's twenty-nine-building park has functioned as a second downtown since the seventies, with Aspiria, the former Sprint campus, a few minutes away. Easier loading, easier parking, and conference rooms with more daylight than most downtown floors.
Lenexa and Olathe
Life sciences, laboratories and engineering out along the southwest side, with Garmin's campus in Olathe. Lab and office environments in the same building, which is useful when a brand film needs both in one day.
