For Parents

The year they become who they are

You have thousands of photos on your phone. None of them are the one. The one that ends up framed on the stairwell. The one you pull up twenty years later to show them who they used to be.

Senior portraits are the last chance to professionally document your kid as a kid. Not a toddler, not a bride or groom, not a new parent. A senior. Who they are right now, in the year everything is about to change. That is the photo your family will keep.

Our sessions are built to deliver exactly that. Magazine-quality portraits that capture who your senior is at this moment, in a style that will not look dated in thirty years.

Why settle for cookie-cutter?

A senior portrait session should feel like a magazine shoot. Yours. Not a template.

Built around you

Every session is custom. We talk through your style, your interests, your school, what you want to remember about this year. Then we build a session around the answers. Locations, outfits, lighting, mood: all of it is tailored to you, not pulled from a preset list.

Natural, cinematic, magazine-quality

No stiff studio poses or generic backdrops unless that is genuinely what you want. Expect natural light, considered composition, and the kind of cinematic mood that makes senior photos worth framing, not just posting.

Professional guidance, zero pressure

Most seniors are not professional models. We coach every pose, show you what works, and keep the session fun. The best photos happen when you relax and stop thinking about the camera.

Built to last

Digitals are great, but these are the photos your family will want on the wall. If you want to make it permanent, our à la carte collection includes handcrafted albums, museum-grade wall art, and archival prints built to last decades.

Senior Portrait FAQ

Common questions about booking and planning your session.

When should we book senior portraits?
Most families book in summer or early fall for fall sessions, and in spring for outdoor spring sessions. If you want specific locations or seasonal looks (fall colors, cherry blossoms, snow), book at least four to six weeks out. We also shoot year-round in the studio.
What should my senior wear?
Bring two to four outfit options that reflect different sides of your personality. Mix casual with something dressier. Solid colors photograph beautifully. Avoid large logos and busy patterns. We walk you through specifics during the planning call.
Where do you shoot senior portraits?
St. Louis-area favorites like Forest Park, Laclede's Landing, the Missouri Botanical Garden, the Pulitzer Arts Foundation, and Arnold creeks. We also shoot at personal locations: your family's property, your school, wherever tells your story. Studio sessions are available year-round.
How long is a session?
Most sessions run 60 to 90 minutes, depending on how many outfit changes and locations we are covering. Half-day and full-day sessions are available for seniors who want more range or multiple locations across the city.
How many images do we receive?
Every session delivers a polished gallery of fully edited images. The exact count depends on session length, but plan on enough variety to fill an album and choose favorites for wall art.
Do you offer prints and albums?
Yes. Linen or leather-bound albums, museum-grade wall art in metal or acrylic, and archival fine art paper prints are available à la carte after your gallery is delivered. Pricing shared during the planning call.
Can parents or friends come to the session?
Absolutely. Many seniors bring a parent or a close friend along. They can help carry outfits, offer second opinions, or just keep the energy fun. We ask that only the senior be in front of the camera unless you specifically want family portraits included.
