Corporate Photography & Headshots in Indianapolis

Henry David Photography drives in from St. Louis to Indianapolis for on-site corporate photography and video production. Professional quality for Indy organizations, at your office, venue, or event.

Where Indianapolis teams actually sit

Almost every session happens on site, in your own building. Knowing the room before I arrive is part of what makes the day run on schedule.

Monument Circle and the Mile Square

The Circle has been the center of the city since the capital was laid out, and the towers around it still hold most of downtown's corporate floors. Salesforce Tower, OneAmerica Tower, Regions Tower and Market Tower sit within a few blocks of each other, which is what makes a two-office day downtown practical rather than a logistics problem.

The Meridian Street corridor

Meridian runs north out of downtown and becomes the state's premier suburban office corridor between 96th and 146th Street. After downtown itself it holds the largest concentration of office workers in Indiana, and a good share of them have never had a headshot made in their own building.

Carmel

The Carmel stretch of the corridor carries a long list of corporate headquarters, CNO Financial among them. Class A floors, structured parking, and conference rooms that are usually easier to light and quicker to load into than a downtown tower.

Keystone at the Crossing

The largest Class A office park in the city, on the north side. Six buildings and a connected hotel, which matters when a headshot day has to cover two tenants without anyone driving between them.

Fishers

The metro's startup and technology side, with a coworking and IoT scene that has been building for over a decade. Smaller floors, younger teams, and a preference for portraits that look like people rather than like a annual report from 1998.

16 Tech and the life sciences district

Northwest of downtown, the research and bioscience cluster, with Elanco's global headquarters now anchoring the riverfront nearby. Lab space and office space in the same building, which is useful when a brand film needs both in one day.

What Indianapolis is built on

The sectors that define this market, and what each one usually needs from a photography program.

Life sciences and animal health

Eli Lilly, Elanco, Corteva and Roche Diagnostics anchor one of the densest life sciences clusters in the country, with 16 Tech and the Indiana Biosciences Research Institute feeding it.

Scientist and clinician portraits that hold up in a regulated context, plus lab and facility imagery for recruiting and investor material.

Insurance and financial services

Elevance Health and OneAmerica sit downtown, CNO Financial in Carmel, Simon Property Group across the city.

Large, repeatable headshot programs across several floors and several buildings, with a look that survives a reorganization.

Law

Barnes & Thornburg is the largest firm in the state, alongside Taft, Faegre Drinker, Ice Miller, Krieg DeVault and Bose McKinney & Evans.

Attorney bios matched across offices and practice groups, with new partners added later without a reshoot.

Health systems

IU Health, Ascension St. Vincent, Community Health Network, Franciscan Health and Eskenazi Health together staff most of the metro's clinical workforce.

Physician directories at scale, photographed on site between clinics rather than in a studio nobody has time to visit.

Amateur sports governing bodies

The NCAA, the National Federation of State High School Associations, USA Gymnastics, USA Track and Field and USA Diving are all headquartered here, which is why the city calls itself the amateur sports capital.

Staff and leadership portraits for organizations whose public face is national, and event coverage during championship weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about Indianapolis photography.

How do you get to Indianapolis, and what does the travel cost?
We are based in St. Louis, and Indianapolis is about a four-hour drive up Interstate 70, so a day trip or an overnight both work depending on the size of the session. There is no Indianapolis office, address or local phone number; the portable studio travels with us in the car. Travel and setup are quoted as separate line items on the proposal, and a drive-in market keeps that line short compared with the cities we fly to.
Can you photograph at our downtown Indy office?
Yes. We bring a complete portable studio to your Indianapolis office, whether that is a tower on Monument Circle, a floor on the Meridian Street corridor, Keystone at the Crossing, Carmel, Fishers, or anywhere else in the metro. We need a conference room or open space of roughly eight by ten feet and a power outlet. Nothing else.
What size teams do you typically serve in Indianapolis?
We serve teams of all sizes in Indianapolis, from individual executive portraits to full company headshot days of 100+ employees. A station is planned for 100 to 150 people per day per station at the high-volume pace of one to two minutes per person, and smaller teams get the standard five to ten minutes in front of the camera per person.
Is there a minimum team size for an Indy session?
There is no hard minimum, but travel sessions work best for groups of 10 or more to make the most of the trip. Downtown is unusually workable in this respect: the main towers sit within a few blocks of each other, so two tenants can share a single day without anyone crossing the city.
Do you provide video production in Indianapolis?
Yes. We offer full video production services in Indianapolis, including brand films, employee testimonials, social media content, and event videography. Combining photo and video into one trip is a great way to maximize your budget.
What is the turnaround time for Indianapolis projects?
Turnaround is the same as our local St. Louis projects. You will receive a proofing gallery fast, and final retouched files within five business days.
