Corporate photography at the Esplanade at Locust Point

The Esplanade at Locust Point is a master planned office development in Downers Grove, roughly two million square feet on about a hundred acres at the interchange of I-88 and I-355, developed by Hamilton Partners. Its buildings are joined by a skywalk system, so the property works as one connected campus rather than as separate addresses sharing a parking field. Executive Towers West at 1431 Opus Place sits inside it. The amenity base is on the property: a DoubleTree Suites hotel, the Esplanade Fitness Center, a Bright Horizons daycare and Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant. For a photography program the skywalks are the detail that changes the day, because people can reach the room without going outside.

The tenant mix across the Esplanade runs to insurance, technology and finance, which is a narrower band than a general purpose suburban park and tends to mean formal briefs and a recognizable house style. The skywalk system is the practical advantage. A program covering two or three buildings can keep one room and bring people across under cover, which holds a schedule together in weather that would otherwise scatter it.
